In the long term you will gain an increase in business as you’ve earned their trust.
2. Be consistent, consistent, consistent
This is an important word. Consistency on a lot of different levels. Once you begin a social media campaign and start establishing relationships and trust with your audience you have to work to keep it.
Frequency: Social media isn’t something you can dip in and out of. Frequent posts and interaction are essential.
Voice: How is your company perceived? A brand voice should convey you as a company. Humorous, serious, witty, caring? Which is it? Customers will build an emotional connection with your business through this. However, your voice must be consistent across all channels.
Timing: Build an expectation with your customers. If you can get them “looking” for your posts you’ve got their engagement. Depending on your product, this may mean posting items at the same time each day, or just randomly when required. But be consistent with this.
